french culture has had little impact on the types of dishes that a typical australian may eat. (whereas italian culture has had a profound impact). cheese and wine would be the areas that french culture has had some effect on australian cuisine.
also, many of the top australian chefs now are inclined to present asian dishes prepared in a french style
