I am often asked when shooting with a digital camera what format should I shoot? Tiff, High Res JPEG, RAW etc. And the answer is very simple. RAW! There is NO other option. And you need to make sure that you are using the highest resolution (megapixels) available on your camera. An important consideration when taking photos is the format you choose. The RAW format gives you the most options for post image processing. The higher resolution gives you better chance for large prints. If you need to make large poster size photos for the couple, then you need the maximum resolution available.
The kind of digital camera you should be using to take photos, should have an accessory hot shoe so you can attach an optional flash unit designed for your system. An accessory flash unit will give you a more powerful light output so you can take better photos than with the in built unit. Virtually every photo you take on the day will be taken with flash, even when outdoors. This will provide nice even light and allow you to sell more photos after the event.
Remember, the bride and grooms parents will be looking to buy photos from you as well as many close family members. The grandparents will want photos and the bride and groom will want photos with the grandparents. These are all additional money making opportunities for you. Remember, as your own home based business, you want to be able to take advantage of every opportunity to make some additional income.

How can I make money with a personal blog?
Please be specific. I’m a full time college student with 2 kiddos and I’m trying to bring some serious extra income into our household. I’m willing to devote a significant amount of time to this. I also own a photography business and plan to include that in my blog. Thanks!

There are as many different ways to make money online as there are people doing it and using a Blog as a tool is just part of the overall plan. I found the best methods for me revolve around finding how to make the money first, then use the Blog to enhance that without making it look like a sales page. Find ideas that help other people to attract them to you as a mentor and then make suggestions that help you both increase your incomes. This is commonly known as a win-win situation and it works. It sure beats hanging around waiting to see if AdSense will pay you.

One way you can make serious money is by selling affiliate information products online. To give you a rough idea of how you can do this is you put a form on your blog to collect email address in order to build a mailing list. You need to offer your visitors some free information related to the theme of your blog, this free information could be a free e-book or a course. In order for the person to get the free information your offering they would have sign-up to your opt-in form were they enter their name and e-mail. Here are some ideas:
1. Affiliation – best way to get some money selling other people’s products. Search products similar to what you’re blogging about and push them to your readers.

Step 1
Start by adding Google Adsense to your site. Although this is not the best way to make money with your blog, the more visitors you receive the more likely Google Adsense will be profitable for you.
Step 2
Begin looking into websites where you are paid a certain amount in order to create a post. Most of the time these posts are to advertise a product or website, so if you want to keep your readers interested, you will want to choose posts that compliment the tone of your blog.
Step 3
Get out there and advertise your blog. Make sure you link to your blog in all of your profiles, on social networking sites, and you can even promote your blog on a manual surf site.
Step 4
Make sure that you use plenty of keywords that will help get your blog noticed on more search engines. Make sure that the keywords are honest to your content and are not distracting to your visitors.
