Hey im Chase and im an excellent defender in soccer from my school and im captain of the team even though i’ve played for 2 yrs. But i’m still learning the ways of the game before i go to High school… wat would be the most important skill to have to become a successful Soccer player?
Reading the game. You have be able to see the threats and stop it, for example where the opposition will pass the ball, where they will make runs etc.
This is even more important to a defender. Organise your defenders.

ball control and conditioning when you get older to be succesful your ball control has to be amazing

The most important skills would be speed, ball control, and stamina. But the key to win a game is to be first to the ball.
